Introduction to type design.
Through manual exercises, lectures on theory and design basics as well as the production of example fonts the participant of this course will get to know everything that’s necessary for the development of a digital typeface.

Crash-course on Thema Variable Fonts.
The course teaches the basic knowledge of the production of variable fonts from the construction of single glyphs to exporting the finished font.

Registration:
Both courses will be held by Marc Schütz. He teaches type design at the University for Art and Design Offenbach since 2012. 2017 and 2018 he was visiting professor at the Bauhaus University Weimar and since 2017 director of the Klingspor Institute for Type Design in Offenbach.
Course dates will be arranged on request.
The courses will be held in German and English if necessary.
